Elephants return to Osaka’s Tennoji Zoo after eight years, and three of them will be displayed in one of Japan’s largest elephant enclosures.

▶大阪市天王寺区の天王寺動物園で21日、新たにアジアゾウ3頭が公開された。

Three new Asian elephants were unveiled to the public at Tennoji Zoo in Tennoji Ward, Osaka City, on the 21st.

▶園によると、いずれもマレーシアで保護されたアジアゾウで、同国の動物園と結んだ保護プログラムに基づき、迎え入れることになったという。

According to the zoo, all of the elephants are Asian elephants that were rescued in Malaysia, and they were brought to the zoo as part of a conservation program established with a Malaysian zoo.
